According to Westtoer, one of the causes may be that the Easter holidays in Flanders coincide less with the holiday periods in neighboring countries and with Wallonia. It doesn’t even start there until April 28.
Last year Easter also fell during the last weekend of the holiday, now in the beginning. The occupancy for the Easter weekend is currently at 65 percent, but last-minute bookings may still be added.
