A traditional club, a record attempt and a special snack: Hansa Rostock has come up with something unusual for the upcoming home game.
In everyday league life, Hansa Rostock, currently sixth in the 3rd league, is fighting for a return to the 2nd Bundesliga. The Baltic Sea townspeople also have big plans off the pitch – together with their fans they want to set a world record.
Hansa Rostock is planning a 38 meter long fish sandwich. The extraordinary project will be presented before the game against Viktoria Cologne on Saturday afternoon. The snack is assembled piece by piece on the west promenade, and the catering partner w.Holz GmbH is responsible for this.
The spectators are also included in the action. From the stadium opening at 12 p.m., individual portions will be sold at the catering stands and on the north forecourt. So every fan can secure a piece of the record attempt. According to the club, the goal is a length of 38 meters.
In addition to the campaign, Hansa also draws attention to a social issue. Organ donation initiatives are planned around the game to encourage visitors to think.
The team is also under pressure in terms of sport. A win against Viktoria Köln is important. The opponent arrives with four defeats in a row. Eight game days before the end of the season, Rostock is in sixth place, two points behind the promotion places.
