The Ukrainian foreign minister accuses his Russian counterpart of being “accomplice in war crimes”
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, has accused his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, of being “accomplice” in the “war crimes” committed since the invasion of Ukraine in cities such as Bucha and Mariupol. “The fact that [Lavrov] justify the bombing of a hospital in Mariupol and the war crimes committed in Bucha and other cities and towns in Ukraine… makes him an accomplice in these crimes,” Kuleba said.
“Every comment he makes is intended to disrupt the negotiations, block them and suspend them,” Kuleba continued, referring to the discussions taking place between Russia and Ukraine under the auspices of Turkey. Kuleba has however insisted that he was willing to meet him again.
“If it is about peace in Ukraine and avoiding deaths, then I am ready to meet anyone,” the minister added. “To prevent another Bucha, we have to talk and see how we can end this war,” he said.
