Former Secretary of Domestic Trade Guillermo Moreno became a trend on social networks for a reason far from politics: the death of his cat Mambo. Militant Peronist accounts were responsible for spreading the news and saying goodbye to the feline with messages of condolences towards the historic Justicialist leader.
But the sadness was short-lived — or at least that’s what the image that accompanied the posts suggested. The same accounts that reported Mambo’s death published a photo of Moreno holding two small kittens in his armsvisibly happy. His followers interpreted it as a sign that the leader had already found company to move forward.

The episode generated a flood of reactions on networks, where affectionate comments and also jokes abounded. It would not be the first time that Moreno, a figure known for his harsh character in the political ring, shows a more domestic side behind closed doors.
And in that ring, the former secretary remains as active as ever. In recent statements to Radio Con Vos, Moreno was forceful about the country’s economic direction: “Milei’s economy is disgusting, we have never been so bad,” and added that “this macroeconomy is the worst I have ever experienced.” Far from the kittens, that’s the usual Moreno.
