When a motorist drives away when stopped, the police decide to shoot: the officer is now being prosecuted

A police officer who fired a bullet at a motorist in Leeuwarden in January 2024 will be prosecuted, the Public Prosecution Service reported on Tuesday. The motorist was hit when the officer and a colleague were conducting a check after a report of a home invasion. The victim and the co-driver appeared not to be involved.
