RB Leipzig announced a departure during the international break. Youngster Jonathan Norbye is leaving the Red Bulls on loan until the end of the season and returning to his native Norway to Fredrikstad FK. In the Eliteserien, which only started in March, the transfer window ends this Tuesday. The first division club also secured a purchase option.
The central defender joined the Saxons’ youth team in 2023. The 19-year-old moved up to the pros last summer and was loaned out to Arminia Bielefeld shortly afterwards. However, this station was canceled prematurely in the winter. Norbye, who has a contract with Leipzig until 2028, was on the pitch once for the RB professionals.
