The no. 4 in the world, fresh from the official withdrawal in Monte Carlo, has landed in Sarajevo and will follow the Bilino Polje match live. From his friendship with Dzeko to the “energy pyramids”, the champion has various links with the Balkan country
In the stands of Bosnia-Italy there will be an exceptional spectator: Novak Djokovic. For tomorrow evening’s match in Zenica, decisive for qualification for the next World Cup, the presence of the former number one is also expected among the approximately 9 thousand spectators expected at the stadium. Fresh from the official withdrawal from the Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo, Djokovic arrived in Sarajevo this morning and is expected to watch tomorrow’s match live. According to what was reported by the Bosnian portal Klix.ba, his support appears far from neutral: everything suggests that he will support Bosnia.
the link with Bosnia
—
There is no shortage of clues about his typhus. The first arrived on social media, where in recent days Djokovic congratulated Edin Dzeko after the victory against Wales: “Well done Edin” wrote the Serbian, accompanying the message with a diamond emoji. A gesture that immediately ignited the enthusiasm of the local fans. The second element concerns a now consolidated link between the Serbian champion and Bosnia. Djokovic has long frequented the archaeological area of Visoko, known for the so-called “Pyramids of the Sun”, a complex which – according to some theories – is characterized by particular “energy tunnels”. The tennis player himself has repeatedly said that he derives physical benefits from it, in particular for the oxygenation of the body and athletic recovery. It is no coincidence that in that area he also contributed to the development of sports facilities, including some tennis courts. Its presence in Zenica, therefore, adds further interest to an already crucial challenge for Italy.
