The wedding of Jan Biggel and his girlfriend Helga will be a great first acquaintance for friends and acquaintances of the two. The lovebirds have not yet met many of each other’s loved ones. Nice and practical, but Biggel also likes it. “Everyone can see each other there for the first time,” says the singer from Liempde.
Jan did not kneel, and Helga did not think it was necessary either. According to her, the proposal was very romantic and fun. She still has to process everything.
Arrange a lot
Helga doesn’t have much time for that. The couple plans to get married in July. So a lot will have to be arranged in the coming weeks. Think of a wedding location, an official and how about rings? They are not available yet and will be purchased soon. Jan also finds that much more fun to do together.
The two lovebirds want to keep their wedding small. “Just intimate with friends and acquaintances,” says Jan. And you know what’s special? Jan does not yet know all of Helga’s friends and neither does he know the other way around. So it will be a great introduction. “Then I can see everyone there for the first time.”
For the rest, it will not be a traditional intention and the two would rather skip a white dress and black suit. They don’t know yet what they will do about it.
Proposal with menu
Jan proposed to his Helga on Sunday in the Hoeve 1827 restaurant. A special message containing an important question was hidden in his girlfriend’s menu. At first Helga did not realize what was in the card and asked Jan if he also had such a note in it. Of course he didn’t.
At that moment she also saw that Jan and others were filming people from the restaurant. “I thought I missed something,” she says. And she had certainly missed something, Jan concludes. Then the realization came and she said yes.
