(toskanews) – The tour with which it Stefano Bollani And Valentina Cenni will present the documentary Whole life. Cenni directed this film to witness a special meeting between Bollani and an extraordinary ensemble of jazz musicians composed of Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Daniele Sepe, Antonello Salis, Ares Tavolazzi, Roberto Gatto. The director filmed them all together for a week in a home-studio, in preparation for a concert.

With a spirit of friendship, fun, play but also great mastery, listening to others, exchange, these jazz greats reveal to us the behind the scenes of a musical adventure and the secrets of improvisation. «Improvising jazz with other musicians is a wonderful thing because you are expected to be creative, you are expected to do something that the other nine don’t expect. – said Bollani – And they are nine fabulous musicians so you are required to have a very high level but you also know that all of them are in the same situation. So it’s one perfect community in the sense that everyone knows that they can trust everyone else, that they all play a single game, the one towards beauty.”
The presentation tour of Whole life will end on April 30th at Quattro Fontane in Romewith an evening that will combine cinema and live music.
