The two Öberg sisters Hanna and Elvira are among the big stars in the biathlon circus. Now the two Swedes have made a far-reaching decision and separated from their previous manager. The successor was immediately clarified.
The biathletes Hanna and Elvira Öberg are no longer working with their long-time manager Olle Hakansson, as the duo confirmed to “Expressen”. Instead, the sisters will be looked after by Mother Viktoria in the future.
“We have ended our collaboration with Olle. From this summer we will employ my mother full-time,” announced Elvria Öberg: “She will quit her current job.” Because: Besides, she doesn’t allow the task to be carried out, Viktoria Öberg was already involved for a good 20 hours a week. She also worked as a kindergarten teacher.
Ostensibly, the mother of the two biathlon stars has so far been taking care of the numerous fan mail that needs to be answered. Many letters also come from Germany. In order to at least reward her support a little, Viktoria Öberg contributed a few percent of each of her daughters’ income, and now full-time employment follows.
But there was no concrete reason to separate from Olle Hakansson at the same time, says Elvira Öberg. “I wouldn’t say anything has happened. It’s more that we feel like we have this chance now. And we want to take that approach, try something new and see how it goes.”
The Öbergs also hope that the future direction of the biathlon family will lead to a closer relationship with existing and future sponsors. They want to maintain “much more personal contact,” explained Hanna Öberg.
The two sisters have been a fixture in the biathlon circus for years, and in the current season they took second place (Hanna) and fourth place (Elvira) in the overall ranking.
