In 1971/72, FC Bayern, led by legends Sepp Maier, Franz Beckenbauer, Paul Breitner, Franz Roth, Uli Hoeneß and Gerd Müller, set a Bundesliga record with 101 goals that was supposed to last forever. This “eternity” is likely to end soon and the German record champions will (significantly) beat their own record. Now, two of the former protagonists, Hoeneß and Roth, have commented on the situation.
