Snowy owl from Harry Potter films added to the list of protected wild animals

The UN Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) approved on Sunday the inclusion of forty species under international protection, including the snowy owl known from the Harry Potter books and films. The decision was taken at the end of the COP15 summit on migratory species in Campo Verde, Brazil.
