Exit clause not activated

Honorary President Uli Hoeneß hopes that star striker Harry Kane will extend his contract with FC Bayern Munich and continue to hunt for goals for the German record champions beyond 2027. “That would be a dream,” said Hoeneß in the “Kicker” interview.
“He did not exercise his release clause, which means that he is definitely under contract here until the summer of 2027,” the 74-year-old explained. This option is said to have been between 60 million and 70 million euros and should have been activated in the spring. “What I hear and feel: that he and his family feel extremely comfortable here. But you never know when a Saudi comes and puts big money on the table. But he feels so comfortable.”
Since his 95 million euro move from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, Kane has already scored 133 goals in 136 competitive games for Bayern. In the current Bundesliga season he is also clearly at the top of the top scorers list with 31 goals and is chasing Robert Lewandowski’s record with 41 goals.

“He’s a perfect professional who takes care of his body. He’s always undergoing rehab and physiotherapy. He can play at this level for at least another three or four years,” Hoeneß is confident about the captain of the English national team, who, with a market value of 65 million euros, is by far the most valuable over-30 center forward in the world.
The 32-year-old Kane is “a good character” and “a role model for our young players,” continued Hoeneß. “The boys in the dressing room look up to him. We can only be proud that we have him in our ranks.”
