A team from the Special Interventions Service (DSI) arrested a man on Saturday afternoon during a raid on a house in Ruysdaelbaan in Eindhoven. The heavily armed officers entered with a battering ram. At least ten loud bangs were heard during the raid.

After the raid, officers in black coats entered to search the house. It seems they were mainly looking for electronic devices, such as phones and laptops. Bystanders approached the explosions, but they were immediately sent away.

Later that evening, a company specialized in transporting hazardous substances came to the house. According to local residents, fireworks were taken.

A spokesperson for the National Unit did not want to say on Saturday evening why the man was arrested. This is an ongoing investigation, but the police do not want to share what kind of investigation. The man was said to have been transferred from Eindhoven to a cell complex in Houten.
