Golf superstar Tiger Woods50, has been arrested.
Woods is suspected of driving while intoxicated, they say, among other things People and New York Post and news agencies AFP and Reuters.
Woods was involved in a car accident on Florida’s Jupiter Island on Friday afternoon local time.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek says Woods showed “signs of intoxication” after the crash, but he passed a police breathalyzer.
– But when it came time to ask him for a urine test, he refused, says Budensiek.
– That’s why he is accused of drunk driving, causing property damage and refusing a statutory test.
The accident did not cause any injuries.
No drugs or alcohol were found in Woods’ vehicle.

According to the sheriff, Woods was passing the truck at a high rate of speed when he hit the trailer the truck was pulling. As a result, Woods’ vehicle flipped onto its driver’s side, Budensiek says.

Woods has recently been training for his comeback. He injured his Achilles tendon a year ago. Achilles tendon was operated on last October.
Last Tuesday, he competed for the first time since his injury.
Woods also got into a car accident in 2021 and seriously injured his leg as a result.
