Yvonne Coldeweijer thinks that Talpa boss John de Mol uses excuses about diva behavior because he regrets their collaboration. She gently points out that she already made 70K a month. “Then I decide!”
Talpa has stopped the payment of Yvonne Coldeweijer’s mega salary and that is why the two parties met in court yesterday. According to the media company, the juice queen behaved narcissistically and like a diva backstage. The fact is that several employees and editors have left, but does that justify dismissal?
Dominant Yvonne
Yvonne has a strong feeling that John de Mol simply regretted their collaboration. Naturally, she behaves dominantly in the workplace, she hints at it Instagram. She quotes an AD reader whose opinion she clearly agrees with: “Yvonne never needed Talpa,” says Jack.
“Of course everything revolves around her if she already independently earned 70,000 euros a month with her juice. Do you really think that Yvonne is going to listen to someone and be submissive? That does not make her hard, ruthless and a narcissist,” continues this reader, who receives three hearts from Yvonne.
Christmas at Linda’s
There really is a regret component, says Yvonne RTL Boulevard. “The goal was of course just to get rid of me, to ensure that you no longer have to pay the remaining 6.5 tons, ‘because I still have to have Christmas dinner with Linda’. Yes, that happened… I don’t think an employer should just stop someone’s wages.”
She never saw John herself again. “We went around the table and we couldn’t reach an agreement. I never spoke to John again. I think he went to the back of his cage and let his figures solve it.”
‘I like stuff’
Yvonne wants the entire nine hundred thousand she would get from Talpa. “I have organized my life a bit around my wages, so if you sign a contract that says: ‘We don’t say that either way’, and I want to renovate my garden, then I’m just going to do that! I don’t have to have my fingers pointed out, like: ‘She shouldn’t have used it up.'”
She continues Show news: “Yes, sorry, I like stuff. Taking away someone’s wages is something that an employer or client… They should simply never do. You have to imagine in my shoes that I’m thinking: huh?! Why is it being canceled?! I don’t know anything! Yes, if you are entitled to a total of nine tons, then 5.5 tons is just over half!”
Pernicious
That 5.500,000 euros refers to Talpa’s settlement proposal. Yvonne just wants that nine grand and thinks that John is weak with his arguments. “It’s a bizarre sensation for me to hear that people didn’t like working with me. I just walked around all day. It was such a nice atmosphere.”
Johan Derksen calls in Today Inside that John should just sit on the blisters. “It is Talpa’s own fault that this happened. It is incomprehensible that such a nice lady makes such terrible shitty programs… You should never do business with that. At Talpa there is someone who did and they are now getting what they deserve.”
Diva behavior
Finally: what does Yvonne’s good friend Rob Goossens think? He says in RTL Boulevard: “I find it so indescribably funny that you want to fire someone because she has shown diva behavior and is a narcissist, while in Hilversum you can fill the canal with narcissists and divas.”
“That is behavior that is also encouraged to the extreme, because anyone who responds to that is told all day long: ‘Oh, you are so fantastic, what could we do without you’, and with her that would suddenly be a problem.”
