At the proposal of State Secretary Van der Burg of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, also on behalf of Minister Letschert of Education, Culture and Science, the Council of Ministers has approved the appointment of Annetje Ottow as a member of the Advisory Board on Public Access and Information Management.
This advisory board, which was established under the Open Government Act, advises the government and parliament, solicited and unsolicited, on the disclosure of government information. The advisory board also has a mediation task for journalists and scientists, and it builds an open administrative culture through knowledge promotion among woo professionals.
Annetje Ottow has been a professor of public economic law at Leiden University since 2021. Her research and publications are characterized by a strong connection between theory and (administrative) practice. She also has an affinity with the journalistic profession and knowledge of the media field. For example, she is a member of the supervisory board of DPG Nederland BV and she was a director at the predecessor of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets for a long time.
