Shortly after the publication of a press statement by Christian Ulmen’s law firm Schertz Bergmann on March 27th Collien Fernandes spoke out on Instagram – and put the description of the arrest in Mallorca into perspective.
The Berlin law firm Schertz Bergmann had previously announced in an official statement that Ulmen had never produced or distributed deepfake videos of Fernandes or other people. The “Spiegel” also reported, among other things, on a dispute in Mallorca, in the course of which Ulmen was said to have been temporarily arrested. According to the law firm, Fernandes was also temporarily arrested – for physical violence against Elmen, who is said to have had an injury to his neck. The police assumed there had been misconduct on both sides; There was no one-sided apportionment of blame.
Fernandes: “A small scratch”
Fernandes puts this portrayal into perspective. It was just a small scratch caused by a torn nail. Ulmen himself told the police that she had not done any violence to him. “And now it is written about an injury to my neck, while I had bruises all over my body,” writes Fernandes – these have been documented. There are pictures of her bruises and she was also undressed in front of a judicial doctor.
Her final conclusion: “I’m so incredibly stunned! I don’t even know what to say. I wouldn’t have thought the perpetrator was so pathetic.”
Ulmen’s lawyers deny the allegations
The law firm announced in a letter that it would take legal action against “Spiegel’s” reporting. Corresponding representations about deepfakes are false – according to the law firm’s current knowledge, this accusation is not even being made. The law firm describes key points in the reporting as “demonstrably incomplete and incorrect”. Ulmen himself has not yet commented publicly.
At the court date in Palma de Mallorca, to which, according to “Spiegel”, Ulmen did not appear, the law firm explains that their client was simply not invited. The Spanish court also suspended the proceedings today because Fernandes had not submitted the required notarial declaration – all investigative actions were also suspended.
