BTS are the first K-pop band to achieve a double one in Germany. “Arirang” is also considered the best-selling K-pop album in an opening week of all time – the band even surpasses their own record, which they set in 2022 with “Proof”.

They are at number one in the charts worldwide for the third time. In Germany, however, it is the first time that they have achieved number one in this country.

“Arirang” is already the most streamed album on Spotify in one day in 2026. A total of eight tracks from the new work are in the single charts.

The success can also be attributed to the marketing surrounding the album release. With the live release show and the Netflix live broadcast, the comeback caused a lot of media hype.
