After the first two races of the new 2026 season, the new supremacy in Formula 1 has been clarified for now. Mercedes celebrated great successes in Australia and China and was able to celebrate race wins with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. Mercedes is also considered the big favorite for the third Grand Prix weekend of the year. Do the Silver Arrows have the best package again? Or will the competition from Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren strike back in Suzuka? And where will the Japanese Grand Prix be shown live on television and stream?
Suzuka International Racing Course is and remains one of the biggest highlights in the Formula 1 calendar. Due to its extremely varied and challenging route, the 5.807 kilometer long course is considered the favorite route of many drivers.
In recent years, Max Verstappen has been the big dominator in Suzuka and has won the last four editions of the Japanese race. The record winner is still Michael Schumacher, who triumphed six times in the Far East.
