Cam Skattebo is sorry.
Cam Skattebo and girlfriend Chloe Rodriguez represented Sports Illustrated at the Super Bowl Gala in February. PDO
American football player Cam Skattebo24, shot some weirdos while visiting top athletes to interview them Frank Dalenan on the Bring The Juice podcast.
Skattebo downplayed asthma and brain-degenerative CTE by joking that they don’t really exist.
– No, it’s just an excuse, Skattebo announced, shaking his head about CTE, the more accurate description of which is chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
The man, on the other hand, described using an asthma inhaler as “just breathing air”.
Blows to the head predispose to CTE, which can be proven after death. The disease has been linked to the deaths of contact sports athletes, especially among American football players.
Naturally, there was an uproar about denying things proven by medical science.
On Saturday, Skattebo opened his X account and wrote an apology there.
– I recently did an interview and made a misjudgment, which led to a tasteless joke about CTE and asthma. It was never my intention to downplay the seriousness of head injuries or asthma. I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my comments. I can assure you that I will be more considerate and respectful in the future.
Skattebo, who enjoys playing center forward, represents the New York Giants of the NFL league. Last summer, he signed a four-year rookie contract with the club worth $5.3 million.
