EU tackles Temu and Shein with ‘historic’ agreement: every package from outside Europe will be subject to a levy

An agreement has been reached within Europe on a rigorous reform of customs. This should ensure that parcels from China in particular no longer flood the market in an uncontrolled manner. A levy must be paid on all parcels entering Europe. Chief negotiator Dirk Gotink (NSC) speaks of a ‘historic agreement’.
