NATO confirms: all 32 member states (including Belgium) achieve the ‘old’ standard of 2 percent defense expenditure

Belgium spent exactly 2.00 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) on defense last year. This was evident from NATO’s annual report on Thursday. All 32 member states of the military alliance have achieved the 2 percent standard. The total defense budget of NATO member states has therefore increased significantly.
