The outdoor outfitter Bergzeit GmbH, based in Otterfing in Upper Bavaria, was also able to grow strongly in the 2025/26 financial year.
In the reporting year ended at the end of February, sales reached 207 million euros, exceeding the previous year’s level by over 17 percent, the e-commerce specialist announced on Thursday. At the same time, profitability also continued to increase. Despite adverse conditions, Bergzeit experienced “the most successful financial year in the company’s history” and also grew “significantly faster than the industry average”.
The company attributed its successes, among other things, to investments in its own logistics systems and digital applications. “Our know-how and AI-based analysis tools help us to forecast demand more precisely, dynamically control the flow of goods in the highly seasonal outdoor business and make operational decisions in real time,” explained Managing Director Teresa Schuster in a statement. “Our warehouse and branches work together as a network.”
The company wants to maintain its successful course in the future. “In the coming year we will continue to invest in even more efficient processes, sustainable logistics and a community that is growing across Europe,” emphasized Managing Director Martin Stolzenberger.
