Four cars were damaged in a car fire in Schaijk on Wednesday evening. The fire started in a car parked on Noordhoekstraat, opposite De Heidebloem campsite.
Cars parked nearby also caught fire. Ultimately, one car burned out completely, while another car suffered significant damage to the front, side and inside.
Two other cars in the area were also damaged by the fire. For example, paint damage occurred on a car due to the heat. Another car suffered damage to its bumper.
What caused the car fire?
The fire brigade from Zeeland responded and a water truck came from Uden to the fire. They were unable to prevent two cars from being destroyed by the fire.
It is not yet known how the fire started. It could be a technical cause, but arson cannot be ruled out.
