Yle’s sports reporter Laura Arffman opens up about the treatment she received at the gym. He writes about his experience in the stories section of his Instagram account, where the published updates are visible for 24 hours.
Arffman says that he took his children to the gym on Wednesday. He says that an employee of the gym asked the duo to leave the place.
– Last year, the child was with me in the gym three times. Today for the first time this year. In 3/4 of these visits, an employee of the gym is present and we are told to leave because the rules say so, he writes.
– I’ve been going to the same gym since 2016 and it’s sad.
Arffman asks his followers for tips on child-friendly gyms. He feels that there is nothing wrong with bringing a child to the gym.
– My child does not riot, does not run or fuss. If he is in the way, he can be asked to move, Arffman writes.
– Rules are rules, but I still don’t understand how a child who mostly sits in the corner can be a danger or a disturbance? How the hell do you show them an example of regular exercise if it only happens when I’m staring at his weekly hobby from the side?
Arffman has two children with his former spouse Anssi Pentsisen with. Arffman and Pentsinen divorced last year. Arffman has previously said that he is not in a relationship with his ex-spouse.
