How are you?
The children of the Nordstadt League can hardly believe it. Karim Adeyemi is visiting. The BVB star plays football with the children and is a star they can touch. The social project has existed in Dortmund since 2001.
I know this a bit because I had it when I was young. I also had a place where we could go, play a little games, do a little things, whatever we couldn’t afford. That’s apart from football. We had football, it was just a youth club.
The visit to the Nordstadt League is part of Adeyemi’s punishment imposed on him by his employer, BVB. In November 2025 it became public that the 24-year-old had ordered a so-called mystery box online and was convicted of illegal weapons possession. Adeyemi publicly apologizes and wants to live up to his role model role in the future.
You saw the joy when he came out here. This is hugely important, especially for the children and also for us, for the district. That you have someone come over here with Karin.
A visit that the children and young people of the Nordstadt League in Dortmund will certainly not forget in a hurry.
