Sido has announced his new studio album “Frieden” – it will be released on November 27th. The Berlin rapper works with Xavier Naidoo, among others.
Sido announced his next record entitled “Frieden” in an interview. The release is planned for November 27, 2026 – it would be the first solo work since “Paul” from 2022. The rapper made the statements in conversation with comedian Abdel Boudii.
In addition to the release date, Sido named the first guests on the LP. A collaboration with Xavier Naidoo, who can be heard on the title song “Frieden”, was particularly highlighted. The Berliner also announced a joint track with his cousin Menowin Fröhlich – the first musical collaboration between the two.
Controversies surrounding Xavier Naidoo
Why Naidoo catches the eye so much? In recent years he has been repeatedly criticized for spreading conspiracy narratives, including (according to “Der Spiegel”) references to Reichsbürger ideologies and QAnon narratives.
In 2020, Naidoo was removed from the jury of the RTL show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” as a result of corresponding statements, as “Tagesschau.de” reported at the time. In 2022 he published a video in which he stated that he wanted to distance himself from parts of his previous positions. However, the public assessment of his person remained controversial – also in connection with later appearances and statements.
Sido’s artistic career
Sido has been one of the most famous artists in German hip hop since the early 2000s. He celebrated his breakthrough with the album “Mask” (2004) and the single “Mein Block”. In the following years he further developed his style and increasingly integrated pop music elements.
Albums like “Me and My Mask” (2008), “30-11-80” (2013) and “Paul” (2022) achieved high positions in the German charts. In addition to his music, Sido is also active as an actor and television personality, including as a juror on “The Voice of Germany”.
