Second division team Preußen Münster is deep in crisis. Now an experienced coach should initiate the turnaround before the six-point game comes.

Schwartz takes over from interim coach Kieran Schulze-Marmeling. He stepped in after Alexander Ende was fired. Schulze-Marmeling and Janis Hohenhövel, head of the performance center, are now assisting Schwartz as assistant coaches.
After the 6-0 defeat at Dynamo Dresden – which cost the job in the end – is Muenster slipped to last place in the table. The direct duel against the table-16 awaits on Sunday. Holstein Kiel. The gap to the North Germans is two points.
Ole Kittner, Sports Director at Preußen Münster, explained the choice of the new coach in a statement from the club: “Alois Schwartz is a very experienced coach who, with clear leadership and structure, has already shown that he can give teams valuable impetus in relegation battles. He knows what it takes to maximize the chances of a successful end to the season in this situation.”
Schwartz himself also commented. “I’m really looking forward to this task and have accepted it because I’m convinced that we can achieve the turnaround together,” said the coach and followed up confidently: “The team has already shown that they have the mentality and quality to survive in this league.”
