The duel with the Swiss is one of four test matches that the German team will play before their first World Cup game against Curacao on June 14, 2026.
After the Switzerland test, the match against Ghana continues just three days later. Preparatory games against Finland and the USA are scheduled for May 31st and June 6th.
National coach Julian Nagelsmann has called a total of 26 players into his squad for the first two international matches of the year. Among those missing are Felix Nmecha from Borussia Dortmund and Aleksandar Pavlovic from FC Bayern, both of whom had to miss the game at short notice due to injuries. Angelo Stiller and Chris Führich from VfB Stuttgart were nominated for them.
