Just after halftime, Telstar had to concede the equalizer. According to Van Duijn, that was quite a blow. “That just has to do with sharpness. We have to see why that is. But it is especially nice that we still make the 2-1 and 3-1.”
Van Duijn himself was responsible for Telstar’s second goal. The attacker swiveled freely on the edge of the sixteen and hit the ball with a neat slider. Moments earlier, Van Duijn had missed a huge opportunity.
“When the game came to a standstill afterwards, I thought: it sucks. I had to make this one. That’s why I was very happy when I made it 2-1.”
