Three sisters, one musical mission: Raye, Amma and Absolutely show why talent runs in the family on “This Music May Contain Hope”.
Singer Raye is well on her way to becoming the next international superstar. After several Brit Award wins, she is releasing a new album on March 27th. On THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE she not only features star composer Hans Zimmer – their joint song “Click Clack Symphonie” was released on Friday, March 20th – but also brings her family on the record.
Joy. – A family project
In her song “Joy.” she sings together with her two sisters, who are also musicians and are known by the stage names “Amma” and “Absolutely”. Musical talent clearly runs in the family. The three had their first public appearance together in December at the Jingle Bell Ball in London, where the two sisters also presented two of their own songs.
All three have been on tour since the beginning of this year: The two support their big sister Raye on her world tour. The family bond is strong – the three sisters are all managed by their father Paul Keen, through whom they also got into music.
Raye’s path to becoming a music icon
Raye started making music at the age of ten and released her debut EP “Welcome To The Winter” in 2014. The years later, she gained international fame with the hit “You Don’t Know Me” together with Jax Jones. In 2021 she left her music label Polydor and in 2022 she released the song “Escapism” as an independent artist together with 070 Shake, which catapulted her back into the charts. This was followed by her album “21st Century Blues”, with which she won six categories at the Brit Awards in 2024. With her track “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” it caused a stir again in 2025. At the end of March she will release her latest project THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.
So it’s no wonder that her younger sisters followed her example.
Absolutely – The younger sister making a breakthrough
The younger of the two, Absolutely, said in an interview with People magazine: “I remember once asking my dad if I could go into the studio with him and record. I had seen him and my sisters do that a lot, and I wanted to, but I was always too shy to ask.” She then began recording and producing songs at the age of 13. Her breakthrough single “I Just Don’t Know You Yet” went viral on TikTok and received praise from Zara Larsson, Kehlani and Julia Michaels. She has now even recorded a session with the Jonas Brothers for the song.
Her real name is Abby-Lynn Keen – her sister Raye suggested calling herself “Absolutely”. She explained, “When I really thought about what the word ‘absolutely’ meant, I realized that it is such a clear word. It leaves no room for doubt. That’s what I wanted to express in my art, and I felt like this was the perfect name.”
It absolutely worked: the singer is currently in the midst of a breakthrough. This year she is playing in Europe as a support act for Renée Rapp and of course with her big sister. She has already written a track for David Guetta and released her first album “Paracosm” in February. Her style mixes alt-R&B with pop, classical and electronic sounds. As she said in an interview with Flaunt magazine: “I imagine my music to be a place for people to immerse themselves in and be transported to another world.” The young singer definitely succeeds.
Amma – “Middle Child”
Middle sister Lauren Amma is also musically active. She made her debut with her EP “Middle Child” in August 2025. Although she had been working on music for a long time, she had not released anything before. She told Flaunt: “My standards are pretty high, so it was hard for me to write music without feeling like I wasn’t living up to those standards – especially when I listened to what Raye or Abby did [Absolutely] created and thought: ‘Wow, this is really incredible’. Then when I heard my own stuff I realized, ‘Okay, we still have so much work to do.'”
She named Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney and the Beatles as well as ABBA, especially their hit “The Winner Takes It All,” as musical role models. Amma’s goal is to help and heal people through her songwriting. She wants to put the feelings and stories she experienced into texts so that people can identify with them. This intention also fits with her alternative dream job: If she didn’t make music, the 23-year-old would like to be a psychologist. She is putting this dream on hold for now – she is currently on tour with Raye and is presenting her first EP there.
Family ties – stronger than fame
During joint interviews, it is noticeable how connected the sisters are to each other and that even the fame they have now achieved does not change that. The three even have a fourth sister, Katelyn, who is still too young to be seen in public. Even though Absolutely lives in Los Angeles and Amma and Raye in London, the sisters support each other. When their grandfather died, all three decided not to accept any interview or doctoral appointments and to spend the mourning period together as a family.
When asked if the sisters would get on each other’s nerves on tour together, Raye replied: “The only thing I’m annoyed about with my sisters is that they steal my clothes.”
