Zendaya shows a wedding video – but the clip turns out to be a scene from “The Drama”. What is behind the viral AI images and whether she is really married.
Actress Zendaya and Tom Holland got married. This report circulated at least at the beginning of March 2026 after her stylist Law Roach spread the rumors at the Actor Awards.
The couple met on the set of “Spider-Man” and made their engagement public in 2025. Since it was announced that the wedding had already taken place, a number of AI images and videos of the couple have been circulating on the Internet – from grainy photos in front of the altar to absurd images with all of the Spider-Man actors on the dance floor.
On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Zendaya explained that even many of her friends and family members fell for the AI images. She said she was out and about and people told her, “Oh my God, your wedding photos are beautiful.” To which she replied: “Honey, that’s AI. They’re not real.”
Kimmel asked her if anyone had been upset because they saw the photos and didn’t receive an invitation. Zendaya replied, “Yes, a lot of people.”
Gold band instead of clarity
Despite Kimmel’s statement, it remains unclear whether the two Hollywood stars have actually married. The actress has been seen more often with a thin gold band on her finger since the rumor spread – next to her engagement ring. She also wore the band on the show with Kimmel.
To keep the rumor mill churning, Zendaya released a short video “to clarify the uncertainties.” However, it was a wedding clip from their new film “The Drama”, in which Tom Holland’s head was mounted on costar Robert Pattinson’s face.
“The Drama – Back to square one”
The comedy “The Drama – Back to square one,” in which the 29-year-old plays the lead role with Pattinson, is also about an engaged couple. The film looks at the week before the wedding with all the ups and downs, as well as the couple’s past and the problems that arise before the big day.
The film can be seen in German cinemas from April 2nd.
