In Curaçao, the Joint Court of Justice decided on Wednesday to conditionally release Ashton Lake, who was sentenced to life in prison, after 37 years in prison. The court ruled that he no longer has to serve his sentence for the kidnapping, rape and murder of a 5-year-old girl on Sint Maarten.
