TEL AVIV/TEHRAN (dpa-AFX) – Israel’s leadership has approved the killing of every senior Iranian official targeted by the army, according to the defense minister. No further approval is required for this, said Defense Minister Israel Katz, according to his office. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and he authorized the military accordingly.
During a consultation, Katz also announced that “significant surprises could be expected in all operational areas” during the course of the day. These would take the war against Iran and the Hezbollah militia, which is allied with Tehran, “to a new level.” The intensity of the attacks in Iran is still increasing, he said.
Israel has already killed dozens of leading figures in the Iranian power apparatus in the Iran war, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The influential Secretary General of the Security Council, Ali Larijani, was also deliberately killed on Monday./le/DP/nas
