Following the talks in Brussels with the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and European Council President Charles Michel on the settlement of the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Baku and Yerevan instructed the foreign ministers to begin preparations for peace talks. “By the end of April, a bilateral commission on the delimitation of the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be created, which will be tasked with ensuring security and stability along the border,” the statement said.

Delimitation is the determination of the general position and direction of the state border between neighboring states with the help of diplomacy.

Michel called the meeting between Aliyev and Pashinyan “productive” on Twitter, and there are “concrete and productive results” following it. A commitment has been reached to work on the preparation of a future peace treaty, the head of the European Council specified, it will settle “all necessary issues.”
