Allianz SE is reorganizing its board of directors with effect from January 1, 2027.

The background to the restructuring is the planned departure of Klaus-Peter Röhler, who will retire at the end of 2026 after 30 years of service and reaching the age limit. As the group announced on Thursday afternoon, Tomas Kunzmann, who has headed the Allianz Partners division as CEO since July 2022, will join the board as a new member. Kunzmann will be responsible for the Asia-Pacific region, including India, on the Group Executive Board. Allianz plans to name his successor at Allianz Partners at a later date.

As part of this new appointment, there will be a redistribution of departments within the existing committee. Renate Wagner will assume responsibility for Germany, Switzerland and Central and Eastern Europe, while continuing to lead the People & Culture and Mergers & Acquisitions departments. The global private customer business in property and casualty insurance (Global Property & Casualty Retail) will in future report to Sirma Boshnakova, who is already responsible for Western and Southern Europe as well as Allianz Direct and Allianz Partners. In addition, according to Allianz, the mandate of CFO Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre was extended early by five years until the end of 2031.

The Allianz share was temporarily trading 0.14 percent lower at 349.50 euros in pre-market trading on Tradegate.
