On June 23rd and 25th, Guns N’ Roses will perform at the Uber Arena in Berlin. Highlight concerts that one might assume had been sold out for weeks. But that’s not the case – there are still plenty of tickets available for both events (although… Eventim There has been high demand for both dates since December).
Sure, every last seat in the indoor area has already been taken, but there are still plenty of chairs left to fill in the hall. What are the reasons for the slightly waning interest in the GNR?
Is the entrance fee too expensive? The high prices could be a deterrent, but they are not in exceptional price ranges, especially in the lower categories. There were even tickets for 77.25 euros. The tickets that are now still available start at 123.25 euros. Now anything but unusual at concerts by legendary bands.
Seeing Guns N’ Roses live too often?
Maybe the hard rock veterans aren’t making themselves rare enough. Last year they were seen in Düsseldorf and Munich in June and then even (for the first time) at the Wacken Open Air.
So has the longing for the Gunners been somewhat satisfied now? After all, they also played stadium gigs in Hanover and Munich in 2022 and four mega concerts in Germany in 2018 as part of their “Not In This Lifetime” tour.
Decisive game for Germany at the World Cup
Maybe there is another reason, at least for June 25th. On that day, the DFB team plays its group game against Ecuador at the FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Kick-off isn’t until 10 p.m. German time, but anyone watching the Guns N’ Roses concert will only see the last few minutes at most.
Given the corresponding interest in football and in combination with the other possible explanations for the reluctance to buy tickets, this could well be a reason for waiving the GNR.
Not to be forgotten: This is the third and decisive group game for the German team in Group E.
