Lady Gaga has confirmed her wedding to Michael Polansky is coming soon. Here are the details.

Lady Gaga wants to get married – soon. She made the announcement on Bruno Mars’ “Romantic Radio” iHeartRadio livestream on Friday, March 6. “My fiancé and I have been traveling all year, but we’re getting married soon,” Gaga said on the radio show.

The pop star, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, and the entrepreneur Michael Polansky have officially been a couple since 2020 – in February she introduced him to the world via Instagram.

Engaged since 2024

The two spent quarantine together during Covid-19. The singer also mentioned him extensively in her interviews in 2021: “My dogs and the man I love are my whole life,” she told “The Hollywood Reporter”. She then announced her engagement to Polansky at the 2024 Olympics.

A blade of grass as inspiration

Her fiancé is also said to have worked on her current album “Mayhem” by co-producing and co-writing.

The song “Blade of Grass” from this LP is also inspired by Polansky. Lady Gaga suggested he simply propose to her with a blade of grass. “We were in our garden and I said, ‘Just take a blade of grass and wrap it around my finger’ – and then I wrote Blade of Grass,” Gaga said in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music.

No date, no fanfare – but maybe soon

It is not certain whether the wedding ring will also be made of grass. There is also no fixed date for the wedding. In October 2024, Gaga said on Jimmy Kimmel’s TV show that she and Polansky had often thought about simply spontaneously going to the registry office and getting married.

The couple is currently traveling a lot. In an interview with Rolling Stone in November 2025, Polansky explained: “We talk about it all the time, we have these breaks, and they’re tempting. It’s like, ‘Okay, can we get married this weekend?'”

Perhaps the wedding ceremony will also take place spontaneously without the public. The two don’t want a big wedding anyway, explained Michael Polansky – they just want to enjoy it. Because according to the interview, the two almost feel as if they were married.
