STUTTGART (dpa-AFX) – After the forecasts for the state elections in Baden-Württemberg, the Federal Green Party leader Franziska Brantner described her party’s result as “a good signal from Baden-Württemberg to the republic.” People chose confidence and courage “and not the path back to the past,” said Brantner. The result is also a great success for the Green Party’s top candidate Cem Özdemir.
According to forecasts from ARD and ZDF, the Greens with top candidate Özdemir are just ahead of state leader Manuel Hagel’s CDU. They come to 31.5 to 32 percent (2021: 32.6 percent), the CDU is just behind with 29.0 to 30.5 percent (24.1)./mov/DP/mis
