Anyone who enters Hellfest will hardly miss it: a six-meter-high Ozzy Osbourne statue will stand permanently at the entrance in Clisson.
French metal festival Hellfest plans to unveil a six-meter-tall statue in honor of Ozzy Osbourne this summer. The festival will present the sculpture for the first time at the opening on June 18, 2026; It will then be permanently located on the site in Clisson in western France.
Unveiling at the festival opening
The statue should be right at the entrance. Anyone entering the premises will hardly miss Ozzy.
The family of the late musician is also expected to attend the event. His widow and long-time manager Sharon Osbourne previously announced the project at the MIDEM music industry conference in Cannes, France, where she presented images of the still unfinished statue for the first time.
Part of a Hellfest tradition
The statue is part of a Hellfest tradition. Already in 2022, the festival unveiled a sculpture for Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister.
The Lemmy statue is by the artist Caroline Brisset. The festival has not yet publicly announced who designed the sculpture for Osbourne.
More plans around Ozzy Osbourne
Sharon Osbourne previously announced that an exhibition about the musician would tour internationally in the future. The show is currently running at Birmingham Museum and could soon “tour the world”.
With the planned statue, Hellfest will receive another monument to one of the greatest figures in heavy metal – and fans will probably have a new meeting place on the festival grounds.
