The Belgian is now giving the vacant spot in the squad to a young professional: Maycon Cardozo. As the “Bild” newspaper and the pay TV broadcaster Sky both report, the 17-year-old replaces Kane. Just a few days ago, Cardozo signed with the German record champions for several years.
Cardozo spent part of his childhood in Thailand, and in 2024 he joined the FC Bayern World Squad, Munich’s international U19 team. The project is intended to help young players around the world become professional footballers – but no one has yet made it into Bayern’s first team. That could change this Friday.
