In an anti-drug operation, Colombia, Ecuador and the United States destroyed five cocaine labs in southwestern Colombia, near the Ecuadorian border. Cocaine was produced in two labs, and three labs produced coca paste, an intermediate product. The labs could produce up to seven tons of cocaine per month.
