Recommendations of the Editorial team

As BTS prepare for their big comeback album and tour, the group released the first trailer for the Netflix livestream event to mark their return.

Members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin and Jung Kook appear in the teaser of “BTS the Comeback Live | Arirang” airing from Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21. The performance will feature the first live performance of songs from her upcoming fifth album, Arirang, which is released a day earlier.

The video begins with fan reactions to the news that BTS would be taking a break while all seven members of the K-pop group completed their mandatory military service in South Korea. (Jin was the first to enlist in 2022, Suga was the last – he was fired in July.) As footage of crowds chanting “BTS” is shown, Jung Kook says: “So emotional. I really miss them.” In another clip, RM explains: “With seven of us, we can achieve anything.”

Album tracklist revealed

Earlier this week, BTS revealed their album’s 14-song tracklist, which includes “Swim” as the title track and “Into the Sun” as the closer. The album was produced and written by some of the biggest names in music, including Mike WiLL Made-It, Flume, Diplo, El Guincho, JPEGMAFIA and Ryan Tedder.

Netflix is also planning to premiere “BTS: The Return,” a documentary from director Bao Nguyen about the making of the new album, which will be released on March 27 on the streaming platform. BTS will celebrate their comeback with a world tour that begins April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, stops in Tampa, Florida at the end of April and concludes the US leg of their tour in California in September.
