FC Bayern has apparently secured the services of Austrian midfield talent Matteo Maric from Red Bull Salzburg. According to consistent media reports – transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano reported this first – the 16-year-old is moving to the record champions’ campus for the new season. According to the pay TV broadcaster “Sky”, the Munich team will pay a transfer fee to the Austrians.
Maric can play in both offensive and central midfield and has been part of various Austrian junior national teams since the U15. In 2025, he made his debut for the U15 in March, for the U16 in June and for the U17 in September. Since then, he has scored three goals in ten international matches. Maric is scheduled to play for the U17 team at FC Bayern next season.
