Noise pollution for local residents
Rijkswaterstaat warns local residents about noise pollution. “Because the work is carried out in a fixed order, we unfortunately cannot avoid causing noise nuisance at night,” says a press release.
The work on Friday evening and in the night from Friday to Saturday will be particularly noisy. The existing asphalt, road markings and crash barriers are then removed. On Sunday evening, the earplugs can be taken out again. Planks for the new crash barriers are then installed.
Rijkswaterstaat promises that the noise caused will not exceed the normal noise load of the construction site.
Stadshart exit closed for months
The coming months is the Amstelveen Stadshart exit (exit 5, towards the Holendrecht junction) is closedbecause foundation piles for noise barriers are placed there.
The closure applies from March 1 to May 1. Traffic that normally uses exit 5 will be diverted via exit 4 (Ouderkerk aan de Amstel), Laan van Langerhuize and Burgemeester Rijnderslaan. Depending on the crowds, this diversion will add 5 to 10 minutes to your journey.
