“I fell, he sat on top of me and kept hitting me. I was completely defenseless.” For Rudi Van Decraen (63), chairman of Hubertus Association Flanders (HVV), it could have been much worse. Last night he received a report about two strangers with a bicycle at a hunting cabin in Balen, Antwerp. When he went to investigate, he caught two vandals red-handed. One of them turned against him. The result: three facial fractures, five stitches and a dislocated shoulder. According to HVV, vandalism to hunting infrastructure is increasing.
