The German Football League (DFL) announced on Thursday (February 5th, 2026) the exact scheduling of match days 28 to 30 in the Bundesliga. The next kick-off dates in the 2nd league have also been set.
The northern derby between Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV on matchday 30 will take place on Saturday afternoon (April 18, 2026, 3:30 p.m.).
One day later, FC Bayern Munich meets VfB Stuttgart (April 19, 2026). Interesting: Both teams are still in action in the DFB Cup semi-finals just a few days later, the record champions in Leverkusen and VfB at home against Freiburg.
The top games on Saturday evening will be played by Stuttgart against Dortmund (April 4th, 2026, 6:30 p.m.), St. Pauli against FC Bayern (April 11th, 2026, 6:30 p.m.) and Eintracht Frankfurt against RB Leipzig (April 18th, 2026, 6:30 p.m.)
2nd league: Promotion duels under floodlights
The DFL has also announced the exact schedule for match days 28 to 30 in the 2nd Bundesliga. The fans of Hannover 96 can look forward to two floodlit games on Saturday evening against direct competitors for promotion – on matchday 28 at Darmstadt 98 (April 11, 2026, 8:30 p.m.), a week later at home against Paderborn (April 18, 2026, 8:30 p.m.).
