Saharan sand is on its way again. The remnants of storm Regina near Spain are pushing a lot of dust and sand towards the European mainland. In the south, people have already warned about poor air quality and so-called ‘blood rain’. HLN science expert Martijn Peters explains how the Sahara sand comes to us, when exactly it reaches our country and what the consequences could be.
