The investigation by the German Public Prosecution Service led to searches at a number of apartments in the Netherlands the day before yesterday. A 20-year-old Amsterdam resident was arrested.
He is the main suspect in the case and is held responsible for recruiting five attackers and is said to have driven two of them to Germany to commit attacks.
Youngest bomber was 13
The German Public Prosecution Service has requested his extradition. A woman and four men aged 18 to 24 are also suspected of involvement in the explosions, which were offered under the banner of ‘violence-as-a-service’.
The youngest attacker was 13 years old at the time of the explosions. He is therefore not reported as a suspect.
